Collection of Donations
Individual, Community and Corporate Donations of Items for the Bags
We partner with individuals, community groups, and businesses to collect new toys, books, clothes, and other essential items. These donations are fundamental in maintaining a steady supply for our Bags.
Funding
We actively seek and manage funding from grantors, corporations, community organizations and individual donors. This funding is vital for our program, expanding our reach, shipping Bags to waiting children, and covering Volunteer Center costs and other expenses.
Volunteer Engagement
Individual Volunteers:
Our volunteers play a crucial role, gathering at our Volunteer Center to sort donations and pack My Stuff Bags with care and precision, ensuring that each Bag meets our high standards.
Volunteer Groups
We engage corporate groups, schools, and community organizations in “Stuff-a-thon” packing events, which help us manage large volumes of donations efficiently and foster community involvement.
Off-site Volunteer Engagement
Individual volunteers, corporations, and community organizations across America are invited to join in our efforts by doing everything from making blankets to conducting collections of new belongings for the kids.
Distribution Network
Partner Agencies
We distribute My Stuff Bags through a robust network of carefully vetted child welfare agencies, shelters, and other organizations across the nation. These partners are essential in identifying the children who need our Bags the most.
Emergency Response
In times of crisis, such as natural disasters or large-scale displacements, we expedite our distribution process to ensure that My Stuff Bags reach affected children promptly.
Ensuring Quality and Compliance
Our operations adhere to strict quality control measures to ensure that every item in My Stuff Bags is safe and appropriate for children. In addition, all Partner Agencies must sign a Terms and Conditions Agreement to determine that each My Stuff Bag they distribute is appropriate for the individual child receiving it.
We utilize feedback from our Partner Agencies and direct recipients to continually improve our processes. Tracking the impact of each Bag helps us understand its effectiveness and adapt our strategies as needed.
